Rival Smartphone Antenna Performance Videos Disappears Like iPhone 4 Signals From Apple’s Website

Apple’s iPhone 4 antenna issue is very hot since last month and we have seen Apple’s special press conference where Steve Jobs defended iPhone 4 by comparing it with some big rival’s smartphones having the same reception problems. Apple setup the new webpage on apple.com and made videos about some popular smartphones like Motorola Droid X, Samsung Omnia II, BlackBerry Bold and  HTC Droid Eris. These videos showed that these smartphones are having the same reception issues and tried to show everyone that this so called “attenuation” problem is not just with iPhone 4.

This approach by Apple made these companies to come up with advertising campaigns against Apple and of course this response was obvious. We have seen these reactions in Samsung Galaxy S and Motorola Droid X ads.

After all this, Apple today made another move. Apple has removed the webpage made on apple.com to show the smartphone antenna performance videos. Is Apple feeling the heat or probably realizing that it was a mistake to show the videos at the first place? Well who knows, Its Apple and they are known to make some surprise moves. Apple’s main website and Asian version have removed the videos. But you can still find them on Canadian version of Apple’s website and on Official Apple’s Youtube channel as well. [via techcrunch]
